5-Day Nairobi/Maasai Mara/ Lake Nakuru Safari
Overview
On this day you will be picked at your Nairobi hotel at 0900hrs. You will then be driven by our tour guide to the beautiful kiambethu farm in Limuru. Situated at 7,200 ft., Kiambethu was bought and farmed by AB McDonell in 1910. He was a pioneer in the tea industry being one of the first to make and sell tea commercially in Kenya - now one of Kenya’s largest exports. Five generations have lived on the farm and it is currently run by his granddaughter Fiona Vernon. The farm house is set within beautiful gardens surrounded by acres of tea and indigenous forest - home to the Colobus monkey. You will have lunch at the farm and later drive to the Bomas of Kenya where you will enjoy cultural performances and a visit to the traditional Kenyan homesteads. Afterwards, you will head back to your hotel for dinner and relaxation.

Day 2: Nairobi – Maasai Mara
On this day you will be picked from your hotel before proceeding to Maasai Mara across the Great Rift Valley past picturesque Suswa Hills on to Narok. Drive through Narok town and proceed to the Maasai Mara just in time for lunch at the Lodge

Day 3: Explore Maasai Mara
You will have a pre-breakfast game drive where you will be able to catch nocturnal animals before they return to their habitats. After a full breakfast, you will then have a morning game viewing drive where you will be able to see wildlife in their authentic natural habitats. You will also experience the rich, well-endowed Mara Nature. You will have a picnic lunch along the Mara River where you will see hippos and crocodiles. You will also take a guided walk to experience the serene Mara and be in direct touch with nature. Thereafter, visit the Maasai village where you will experience the rich Maasai culture including their famous “jumps”. You will also be able to learn more about their homesteads and their traditi’’on’al culture. You will then head to the lodge for relaxation and dinner.

Day 4: Maasai Mara- L. Nakuru
After breakfast at the lodge, you will proceed on a game viewing drive in Maasai Mara Game Reserve then drive to Lake Nakuru National Park which is among the fresh water lakes along the Rift Valley fault line. You will arrive in time for lunch at the lodge. You will then relax before taking an evening game drive where you will see various species of birds and animals including baboons, giraffes, buffaloes and the lake being famous for flamingos and birdlife in general you will be able to watch the beautiful birds during the game drive.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru- Nairobi
After breakfast at the lodge, you will head out for a final game drive before proceeding to Nairobi where you will be taken to your city hotel.. End
